Converse, an American footwear company, is known for its iconic sneakers that dates back to the 19th century. Some of its signature models include the Jack Purcells & Chuck Taylors which are still seen on the feet of many youths today.

For this project, Converse wanted to promote the “Back& Tri-zip line” of its Chuck Taylors.

As the majority of youths identifies the Chuck Taylors with the punk subculture, I decided to use the theme the advertorial in a DIY-ethos.

As a result, I decided to use the zipper graphic as a gatefold as a teaser to the advertorial.
